Three engines are available: a 122kW/238Nm 2.5-litre petrol, and two 2.3-litre turbo-diesels " a single-turbo 120kW/403Nm version and a 140kW/450Nm twin-turbo. Transmission include a six-speed manual or a seven-speed auto, with 4x2 or 4x4 drivetrains on offer.The Nissan Navara performs better than most, though, with impressive ride quality, decent handling and excellent practicality. Others might be more luxurious, or more designed to take a battering, but as an all-rounder sets the mark that others aspire to in the class.The pre-facelift Navara's twin-turbocharged 2.3-litre turbocharged diesel engine has been replaced by a larger-capacity (2.5-litre), but single turbocharged diesel mill, but you may be disappointed to know that it's not more powerful than its predecessor. The peak outputs are still pegged at 140 kW and 450 Nm.
